Savannah was asleep when he slipped into their apartment just after 3 AM. She looked peaceful, curled up in one of his oversized shirts, the engagement ring he’d bought her glinting in her hand. Jungkook stood in the doorway for a long time, guilt clawing at his ribs. Her parents loved him. His parents loved her. Their friends had thrown the engagement party with coordinated pastel balloons and a goddamn cake that said “Forever Starts Now.”
